Spotlight on the Handsomely Huntsman of Snow White Fame

The Huntsman. You all know him as the guy hired by the evil witch to kill Snow White. But in the midst of the dirty deed, our fickle assassin experiences a change of heart and can’t go through with it. He’s overcome with emotions. Why? Because he realizes he has fallen in love…sigh sigh. That being said the poor huntsman literally loses his heart as a result. In the television version, the evil witch, who we figure is more than just a bit sweet on our unintentional heroic villain guy, snatches his heart out and casts a spell on him. It all sounds like the ultimate sacrifice for love, right? Snow White is a tragic, but highly addictive love story that has transcended time again and again. The tale sends writers rushing to their writing stations to rewrite their own version of the story all the time. And lately, movie producers have jumped on the huntsman as hero bandwagon, giving us living breathing retellings complete with big budget frills. For me, the most exciting part is seeing one of my new favorite fictional guys spring to mouth-watering life. Hehehe As part of the Fairytale Blog Hop hosted by I Am a Reader, Not a Writer and vvb32reads, I’m excited to be doing something a little different. I’m giving away a copy of Waking Rose, a Fairy Tale Retold by Regina Doman. This is an outstanding book! I’m not one who generally goes for retold fairy tales, but this one is different. You’ll see.
Description from goodreads: "I love him more than poetry... I love him more than song." Ever since he rescued her from Certain Death, Rose Brier has had a crush on Ben Denniston, otherwise known as Fish. But Fish, struggling with problems of his own, thinks that Rose should go looking elsewhere for a knight in shining armor. Trying to forget him, Rose goes to college, takes up with a sword-wielding band of brothers, and starts an investigation into her family's past that proves increasingly mysterious. Then a tragic accident occurs, and Fish, assisted by Rose's new friends, finds himself drawn into a search through a tangle of revenge and corruption that might be threatening Rose's very life. The climax is a crucible of fear, fight, and fire that Fish must pass through to reach Rose and conquer his dragons. To win, simply fill out the rafflecopter found below this post. Now, I leave you with pictures of my favorite two huntsmen. Have fun and Enjoy!
Jamie Dornan as the Huntsman from the television show Once Upon A Time. And...

Reviews and News from the Seraphine Muse

Hello Fallen Friends, By now I hope you've all had the chance to see the new design of my little angel blog. As the lovely and talented designer Livia of Butterfly-O-Meter Designs put it..."It's smexy!" LOL. Not only is it smexy, but it's also functional and filled with eye candy. I want you all to enjoy your experience when stopping by to see me. So as the subtitle says, this blog will be a collection of the fabulously creative ones. In the upcoming weeks there'll be author interviews, reader interviews (ah something different, right?) cover reveals, indie author spotlights, the ocasional book review and of course even more fabulous giveaways. Bear with me over the next few days as I work to finish tweaking my smexy blog. And authors if you're looking for interviews then shoot me an email. Also, readers I'm looking for you. Are you obsessed with a particular book boyfriend? Do you never sleep because life feels incomplete without a book in your hands? Do you have a funny reading experience story to share? Then I'm looking for you. And so are a lot of people out there in the world. Because this world of words is mostly about the reader before anything else. Leave me some feedback on what you all think of the blog. No, I don't have anything to give up this time if you do, but I'd appreciate hearing about unique things you'd like to see happen. Until then, keep your head in the book clouds. Yours in Prose, KaSonndra

The War Between B&N and Amazon and the Copper Suns' Release Day Bomb

Hello Fallen Friends!

First I want to say thanks to everyone who has joined my blog and decided to follow it. I appreciate you greatly. I want you to be the first to know that a redesigned, very hip version is in the making. I cannot WAIT to reveal it for you all. Plus, the content will change. There'll be more author interviews (some really big surprise names in there too, btw), more writing tips, advice, links. I just hope to make it all a more pleasant experience for you all. Or course, super awesome giveaways of the best books (be them indie or traditionally published) will continue. You all make this journey into my love of books so pleasant. I heart each one of you dearly.

Now, on to the subject of my stress. The release of When Copper Suns Fall's expanded edition has been delayed. Sigh sigh. Why? There seems to be a war going on between Amazon and BandNoble at the moment. BarnesandNoble recently ran a promo for me, helping me get the word out by offering a free copy of WCSF. Well just when I assume Amazon isn't interested in participating in anything like that, they make the book go free on the new version's release day!!! Argh!

Looking at the good side of things, I've gotten the word out about Copper Suns. It's been on the bestseller list on Amazon for the last 3 days. Yay! The bad side is that I have to move the expanded edition's release date out about a week. I'm being told by the Amazon gurus that they'll remove it from the free promo list when "the other competitor removes it from theirs". Hm. I wonder who that might be? Although I love both BandN and Amazon, the war between them has caused me to be in a state of low-level stress. But in the end, my readers will get to know me and my story. At the end of the day, that's what counts the most.

Yours in Prose,
